Meet Katryna, owner/operator of Heart of the Home YEG!
Katryna loves to cook and host family and friends, so starting up this store was a natural extension of that love.
"Where is the heart of your home? Mine is in my kitchen, spending time with friends and family eating good food! Your kitchen is the perfect place to make memories with your loved ones. Come in a see all the amazing products that will continue to bring the whole family together."
When not working at the store, you can find Katryna out on walking adventures with her dog and spending quiet time reading.

Meet Cherie!
"Hi, My name is Cherie.
I have worked in retail (kitchen) for over 20 years. I love reading, riding my bike and going to the movies. I also enjoy cooking and baking.
I love my Staub Cocotte to my soups, stews and my famous Bean Casserole. I really like the Trudeau silicone bakeware to do my banana bread and muffins in. Clean up is so easy using this product! Another favourite is Salt Spring Kitchen Co. Spicy Tomato spread. It goes great with a fried egg or grilled cheese sandwich! I also like using Mike & Jenn Soap, they are a local company and they use all natural ingredients. And lastly for clean up, I use my Swedish Dish Cloth."

Meet Hailey!
"Hi my name is Hailey, I love traveling to warm and tropical places, I love crafting and making things out of anything! I love all animals but especially dogs, cats and turtles!!
5 favourite things
⁃ the little squeeze bottles: I absolutely love these squeeze bottles, I use them everyday and they’re perfect for holding the right amount of salad dressing and other sauces. They fit perfect in my bento box and never leak!
⁃ Bento box: I have the large blue bento box and I use it everyday. Perfect size for a lunch salad. The little compartments inside are perfect for separating fruits and veggies.
⁃ Charcuterie resin board: even though I don’t have one of these I absolutely love how unique each of them are, the colours are so vibrant and the different shapes draw me in.
⁃ Glass salad dressing bottle with recipes: I’ve been really into salades recently and this salad dressing bottle has multiple different recipes to try on it. I love how you can make it right in the bottle and store it in the fridge.
⁃ Mike and Jenn rose clay face mask: absolutely love this face mask. After every use my fave feels refreshed and smooth."

Meet Jill!
"My name is Jill and I have worked at Heart of the Home for almost 5 years.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, camping, and spending time with family, friends and my sweet Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund, Ripple. I also enjoy cooking, so I absolutely love working at a kitchenware store! My favourite things to cook are casseroles, chili, and all different types of soups.
5 favourite products:
-Staub cocotte: one of my favourite pieces because I love cooking with cast iron as it keeps food hot for such a long time. I also love the size and that I can make large batches of food at one time.
-Zwilling J.A. Henckels Pro chef’s knife: I love the feel and weight of the handle and the sharp blade makes it so much easier to cut fruits and veggies.
-Joseph Joseph folding cutting board: I use this board daily and it has fold-up sides which makes it so easy to guide and transfer food into a dish or pan.
-Fusionbrand Poach Pods: I really enjoy poached eggs, and the non stick silicone poach pods make it so easy and fast to cook poached eggs anytime with very little clean-up!
-Cuisipro silicone locking tongs: these are a must-have in my kitchen and the silicone tips are so great as it does not scratch the pan or dish."
